REFLECTION

In this station’s lab, you were introduced to the structure of the heart, how it pumps blood, and how the electrical system tells the heart when to contract.

  1. Think about the electrical system in your car.  If the electrical system in your car broke down, what do you think would happen?
  2. What happens when the electricity goes out in your home? What in your home would not work without electricity?
  3. How are these things similar to the way your body works?
